• Decide whether you want to live aboard or stay on land. With a liveaboard, you can easily move throughout a region to explore different dive areas. On land, you have more amenities but you will be diving at spots in a closer proximity. 
• Book well in advance! Top destinations such as Raja Ampat have limited space at the more intimate resort experiences. 
• Make sure you are at a minimum Open-Water PADI certified (or equivalent). Certain dive shops include certification coursework, but we recommend completing in advance to best enjoy your days in this marine paradise!
