• Book a multi day package to make the most of your vacation time. 4 days of heli skiing is typically the most popular option in BC. Adjust the number of days based on your fitness and desire to ski. 
• Decide how remote you want to get. Some lodges can be far away, which makes for an incredible experience but can take more time/effort to get to. Resort town based operations will allow you to enjoy the nightlife scene at the local bar, but might not have the same camaraderie you get with a small group in a lodge. 
• Pack warmly, but in layers. Day to day the weather conditions can change, ranging from cold to wetter to more humid. Having an extra pair of goggles and gloves is a must, and managing moisture throughout the day is part of the game. 
• Don't be surprised by down days. Though they are less common in BC, particularly with operations that have access to larger terrain and can head to the trees one day and high alpine the next, there is still a chance you can have a down day or two. Read closely the refund/down day policy and don't be caught off guard by it. 
• Our most important piece of advice is to book early. Key dates go quickly, with late January through February being booked almost a year in advance. BC is a popular heli skiing destination for skiers and boarders from around the globe. Plan early or miss out on the best weeks. 

BC has become known far and wide for its various offerings. You can find everything from luxury lodges to single day operators. Guests can fly into either Vancouver or Calgary, and from there can either drive or take connecting flights to smaller regional airports to reach their destination. 

A big benefit of choosing British Columbia as your heli skiing destination is that most operators offer lodge based packages where food and flight time are all included in the price. There are also single day options, but multiday lodge based packages are the vast majority. This all inclusive option is very popular amongst our guests, as everything is taken care of from thh day you arrive. 

Another big benefit is the ability to choose a remote lodge experience or a ski town experience. Most operators either have the benefit of a spectacular remote lodge up in the mountains, or you are based out of a ski resort town where there will be more nightlife.
