• Most people assume that heli skiing in South America will be less expensive than options in Canada, Alaska or Europe, but this isn't always the case. The price is competitive, but not wildly cheaper, which for some reason most people expect. You may save some with the currency exchange rate, but expect comparable pricing. 
• Decide between single day based out of a resort or a multiday lodge experience. You'll find the single day option more affordable, but will require much more coordination on your end. Multiday lodge based packages feel more like a vacation, with everything from lodging, food and flight hours all coordinated for you to provide the ideal experience. 
• If you like meat and wine, bring your appetite and opt for a lodge based experience. They will provide an excellent assortment of wines from the region, and will prepare traditional meat based dishes from the region. 

The Andes mountain range, running along the boarder of Chile and Argentina, is a heli skiing mecca, with travelers from all over the world making the trek to find light, dry powder, sunshine and epic long descents. The mountain range is jagged and raw, seemingly untouched by erosion, still primordial in their formations. You'll be absolutely blown away by the scenery and views from the summits. There are plenty of untouched runs, waiting to be explored, in this vast mountain range that spans over 5,000 miles, with summits reaching 20,000 ft. The mountain themselves are perk enough to book your next heli skiing adventure in South America. 

Local culture and cuisine make it a truly unique experience. Chile and Argentina are both known for their wine regions, but offer very distinct wines that seem a world apart. We recommend sampling the Syrah, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Bonarda, and Malbec of Argentina and the Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay., Sauvignon Blanc., Bordeaux Blends., Carménère., Syrah, and Pinot Noir of Chile. Pair these with spit roast lamb, empanadas (both lamb and steak), various asados, and morcilla, and you'll have plenty to do when not you're not skiing.
