• Be flexible. Game drives and safari tours have a lot of unpredictable elements, from weather to wildlife. Safari operators are incredible at making things happen, but there is a lot out of your control. If you are patient, you'll almost always find something incredible.
• Wake up early. The animals tend to be most active at dawn and dusk, and the hot sun will make it difficult to be traveling outdoors in the middle of the day. 
• Dress the part. You'll want to make sure you have UV protective clothing, wide brim hat, and plenty of clothing designed for hot weather and ski protection, so breathability is key here. Also, prepare for dust! dirt roads make for dusty days. 
• Buy some nice camera equipment and binoculars. Long range lenses are are a must. Get familiar with your equipment before hand, and make sure to pack additional battery packs and memory cards so you don't miss a moment. 
• Don't expect wifi everywhere. Many of the lodges, even the luxury ones, are in remote locations and may not be able to support a strong internet connection. Be sure to ask about connectivity if that is a concern on a longer stay. But, we highly recommend unplugging.  

Seeing the lion feeding or hunting on open woodlands is no comparison to the zoo lions who roar and sleep all day in the cage. Seeing the great wildlife migration of millions of zebras and wild beasts in East Africa is a view that you will always remember blab about to family and friends. Almost 1.5 million animals and 250,000 zebras start their migration journey from Tanzania to Kenya each year.
