About
Silvertip Heliskiing operates from Silvertip Lodge, a private, off-grid lodge at the far east end of Quesnel Lake in British Columbia's Cariboo Mountains. There are no roads into this part of the Cariboo, so guests arrive by helicopter. Their 1,440 sq. km ski tenure starts right outside the lodge's front door, which means the first run of the day is only minutes away. The terrain covers high-alpine bowls, glacier runs, and well-spaced tree skiing. The cold, dry climate of BC's interior produces light, dry powder through the season. The lodge was built in 1967 as a fishing and hunting retreat. It became a heliskiing lodge after a 2002 renovation by CMH. Today it's owned by a small group and run as an independent operation, and that independence shapes the experience. Silvertip keeps guest numbers small and has no competing groups on its terrain. Depending on the week, there are often as many staff on duty as there are guests. Silvertip offers several ways to ski. The Classic program has scheduled tours of 4 to 9 days, with unlimited vertical and a guaranteed minimum vertical for each tour length. Small groups and solo travelers join a curated group. Parties of 8 can book a semi-private group on the lodge's Bell 212. Groups of up to 16 skiers can buy out the entire lodge, helicopter, and terrain. For the most exclusive option, the Private program provides a dedicated A-Star for up to 3 skiers, or a private 212 for up to 8, along with a private lead guide and tail guide. Getting to Silvertip is simple for a place this remote. Classic tours include the private charter flight from Vancouver to Williams Lake and the 45-minute helicopter transfer to the lodge, so the trip from Vancouver takes about 2.5 hours. The season runs from early January to early April. Contact Heli to check dates and book a Silvertip Heliskiing Adventure.

Silvertip Lodge
Silvertip Lodge is Silvertip Heliskiing's base of operations and the place guests stay for their entire trip. It sits at the far east end of Quesnel Lake, a 100 km lake in British Columbia's Cariboo Mountains. The 14-acre property includes 800 ft of lakefront and is surrounded by undisturbed Crown Land. The lodge is fully self-contained and off-grid, and it can only be reached by boat, small aircraft, or helicopter. In winter, guests arrive by a 45-minute helicopter transfer from Williams Lake. The main lodge is a 7,250 sq. ft. triple A-frame building with high ceilings. It has 8 guest rooms, each with a private en-suite, and 2 more rooms are in a separate lakefront cabin. Next to the lodge, a spa chalet has an outdoor hot tub overlooking the lake, a sauna, a steam room, and a massage room with a full-time massage therapist. The therapist also leads a stretch class every morning before breakfast. Meals are served in the main dining room, and the bar has a full wine list. Silvertip's ski tenure begins right at the lodge, so the helicopter lifts off from the lodge each morning and skiing starts within minutes.
